Formed by jazz enthusiasts in October 1992, the band began with practice sessions at the Kings Head Hotel in Beccles, Suffolk.. Gradually the band attracted a following of regular listeners and after about a year the venue was changed to the Wine Vaults in Blyburgate, Beccles. Although the vaults were very atmospheric with marvellous acoustics they were rather small and in October 1994 the band moved to a large first floor room at The Swan in Loddon, Norfolk.

In 2003 another move became necessary and the band was welcomed with open arms back at their first practice room in the Kings Head. The upstairs room is light and airy and Stuart Janes, the landlord, puts on a special Jazz Menu every Sunday evening with guest real ales and a non-smoking environment (upstairs).

Christmas and New Year are celebrated in style with food and "special features". Club members frequently celebrate birthdays there amongst friends, bringing cake to share with all while the band plays "Happy Birthday" - one of their most swinging numbers !!
